Just Get Yo Dance On
So, I really hate math. It sucks. There is no other way to explain it, math is Satan.

In other news, I LOVE COMMON GROUNDS. Yeah I said it. And I'm not taking it back, either.

Campaigning started today, whoop whoop...I'm running against 17 people. 17! With God's grace, he will allow me to do whatever is in his will, so if I am elected, I know that's what the Lord wants me to do.

I really need to see if I have to get back home for Homecoming to "pass down the crown". Cuz if I do, I need to do some serious planning.

Oh yeah, WHAT IS UP with Baylor makng a holiday? Fall Break? What kinda stuff is that.

Oh well, thats all for now, gotta go cause some havoc.

Nuh-uh
an article I wrote for bin.baylor.edu - baylor's information network.

What on earth is up with “Waco Water”?

This question and many more flowed through my mind during my very first sip of Waco Water, which I took August 18, 2005, at approximately 8:35 AM. The sky was sunny, with a small chance of rain. There was a warm front moving in from the East.

But before we move much further into this narrative, let me get a little background out of the way.

I am a freshman here at Baylor U, and I grew up in Houston, like most of the rest of the class of ‘09. Whenever I told people I was going to Baylor, they would pause for a moment, and then warn me about the perils of drinking the water in Waco. Again and again I was told, “Don’t ever drink the water there; you won’t have kids”, or “Seriously, don’t drink it; it will cause you to become even more impoverished and waif-looking than Lindsay Lohan.”

I was skeptical. I mean, I’m a big boy. I live in one of the most polluted and obese cities in America. On the football fields, I drank from troughs. Troughs! (For those of you who aren’t hip to your high school sports lingo, the trough was basically a length of PVC pipe attached to a garden hose with holes poked in it.) I laugh at you, “Waco Water”. Ha!

Then I tasted it.

I admit, I felt a bit weak after the first sip of my foray into questionable liquids. My first reaction was to spit it out, and my second reaction was to filter it through my teeth to see how much residue and flotsam it left behind.

So I began my mission to see if there were any people, any body at all, that enjoyed this water. I asked basically everyone I came in contact with if they liked, or even tolerated “Waco Water.” The general consensus was in fact, that no, no one really liked it very much.

But there are always a few. That’s right, they are all around us. People who enjoy this “Waco Water.” Oh yes. They may be sitting next to you in your Psych class, or maybe they are sweating next to you on the treadmill when you work out at the SLC. Or maybe they are behind you right now, reading over your shoulder…

Nevertheless, they do exist. I asked a young woman, named *Coral, who at the time happened to be gulping large amounts of water from the water fountain in the Carroll Science building, if she enjoyed the water.

“What’s the matter with it?” she asked me.

I think that answers the question.

Another person I spoke to, *Mike, had convinced himself that “Waco Water” is infused with minerals, and that’s what gives it that raw, edgy taste.

Right.

So with that, I basically concluded my short lived quest to find out why “Waco Water” tasted so soil-like. But one day, I shall find the strength to resume my search, and then, I will truly find out the answer to life’s most sought after question;

What on earth is up with “Waco Water”?

*not their real names.

BAYLOOOOOR
So, as a lot of ya'll know, I am running for freshman class pres at Baylor U. One of the big things I was going o do was to try and change the water quality, because, if you live near or around waco, you know the water tastes like deep fried soil. WHy is this? Nobody knows, but the most frightening thing occured today that makes me question all of humanity.

I drank the waco water and it was - get this - not as bad as I originally thought!

So the worst thing that could ever happen to me happened - I became a Waco local!

J/k. But the water didn't really taste as bad as I thought, probably because I'm getting used to it.

My classes are pretty cool, but Baylor is quite possible the coolest campus ever. I'm not kidding. Oh, I saw the 40 Year Old Virgin the other night, and it was hilareeeeeous. Even though I fell asleep in the middle of it, it is still pretty dang funny.

Well hey, Ima take a nap because I am really tired,. I just realized that picture makes my eyes look squinty. Oh well.

So, I have these awesome roomates, and our bedroom is designed to fit four people. Theres only hree of us, so we have THE BIGGEST ROOM in the building. I'm not kidding, even the CL's were surprised at how much room we had. Speaking of coincidences, Bobby and Adam are right down the hall two steps and a jog away. This is gonna be so awesome, I ca't wait to start classess. I will holla back lata, Ajoos

Livin My Life Like Its Golden
Got back from Louisina today, visiting my grandparents and my cousins. I am so ready to leave. You don't even know how ready I am.

I've been thinking...(yeah, I know, that only happens once every other full moon)
And its a pretty good thing that I really don't have too many attatchments to people here, besides my family. I mean, a couple, but some kids I know are going to die if they don't have 8 million people around them every minute. Bump that.

I am having a major internal struggle within myself that actually isnt that major, it just has to do with letting things go. What I really need is just stuff to be black and white, and its gray, which sucks like major (hahaha, I watched Clueless) because I want the other peoples involved to be either yes or no, and thats not happening.

Oop, gotta go, we'll talk lata

Super Cool Thoughts!
Yes I know. Its been just under two months since I last blogged, and lotsa stuff has happened since then..I started working at the Picture People in the mall, I take pictures there and I get paid fat cash to do it. I'm leaving for Waco next Thursday, adn if thats not Bad-A, I don't know what is. Ive done a little this summer, I went on a cruise to the Bahamas, got in a fight with the locals, gone back to my hometown and seen people who I've not seen in 10 years and in exactly one week I'll be going to college WITHOUT a room assignment, I'm still not sure why. So I'll resume posting on this blog about once a week, a lot about me has changed, and I'm really anxious to start blogging from the beautiful campus of Baylor University.

Holler Back
